CANTERBURY ANIMAL RESPECT NETWORK for A GREEN ENVIRONMENT

" . . . In the midst of our high-tech, ostentatious, hedonistic lifestyle, among the dazzling monuments to history, art, religion and commerce, are the 'black boxes' - faceless compounds where society conducts its dirty business of abusing and killing innocent, feeling beings. Among these are biomedical research laboratories, factory farms, and slaughterhouses. These are our Dachaus, our Buchenwalds, our Birkenaus. Like the good German burghers, we have a fair idea of what goes on there, but we don't want any reality checks . . ." (See "Slaughter" indexed below)

Of all the many fields of ruthless exploitation of animals by man for the sake of pecuniary gain or personal pleasure, like factory farming, battery breeding, puppy mills, furs, hunting, rodeos, corridas, whaling, fishing, trapping, circuses, and more such human amenities, there is one activity that merits our special attention not only because of its sheer moral depravity, but also because at first view it seems the most difficult to disapprove, although being the most logical candidate for immediate and total abolition by force of law. We mean, you guessed it, animal experimentation, also called vivisection. Hans Ruesch, International Foundation Report No 12

This website is a mere flick through man's incessant persecution of that other world, the world of animals. Men and women breed animals and buy and/or steal animals on whom they inflict their human cruelties and perversions; they eat them, and/or their produce. In most cases governments/politicians, laws, religions/cults, and a section of the public, all approve this raging cruelty and slaughter, this non-stop assault on the non-human world. If you wish to do something to help stem this tide of depravity, look at the LINKS websites and their links. There is much to do, so let's steam ahead and do it - write letters, attend demos, put the word about, become more informed, support genuine animal respect organisations. This site is regularly updated.
